Warehouse Cafe has been a phenomenon in Delhi restaurant circles since the time it opened. Priyank Sukhija ' s one of the 1st ventures amongst the cafes opened in the recent 2-3 years period.
Recently it also opened up in the most coveted and crowded market of Sector - 29, Gurgaon.
We visited this iconic place a few days back during the night. Located in the main mkt. on the same side as Bikanerwala is this newly opened place. As you enter the place you get the feel of the same industrial setup and warehouse look. There is a bar area in the centre and seating on one side. The lower area in the basement is the main seating area with a proper bar setup on one side , a DJ set up one side and seating elsewhere with different seating options.
We started with a few drinks and ordered a few starters like Achari paneer tikka, Karari mushroom, Chicken tikka Lahsuni, Mutton seekh , Spicy chicken Dimsums .The best of the lot was Paneer tikka , Chk. Tikka and the Dimsums. Fish n chips and the Waldorf salad were really nicely made.
The best part about this place is excellent service and really good bar tenders. Quick service from the kitchen is another highlight. They have a good collection of wines and other poisons too. Usually, I have noticed places such as these - lounge types do not focus much on main course dishes as mostly people enjoy finger food wither drinks. But to my surprise we loved the Dal Makhni and the Methi matar malai, also the Thai Green curry was very flavorful.
The collection of desserts is nice but not very innovative, as most of them were run of the mill. Brownie with Ice cream, Ice cream sundae, Bread crumbed Fried ice cream and a Phirni which was not too good. Probably desserts are not much in demand but I suggest them to work a little on their desserts so as to complete the full package.
Overall a nice and big place with positive vibes coming from all sides. A must visit for all the young at heart people. Great place to party with lovely food and service.
