SCHENGEN DELI, BISTRO - ITALIAN FOOD FESTIVAL TILL 19TH JULY

Schengen Deli and Bistro - Italian Food Festival

To savour one of the best European cuisine restaurants we need to take a Schengen Visa and travel to Europe..... or We can just head to the SCHENGEN- Deli, Bistro at Malcha Market, Chanakya Puri and have it all.  Countries like Austria, Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, Portugal, Poland, Sweden and Switzerland to name a few have so much to offer, which is unimaginable.
We were lucky enough to attend the ongoing Italian Food Festival at Schengen. Every couple of months they come out with a food festival showcasing one of the Schengen nations. The ambience of the place is cool, serene and modern. One can just grab a book and sit for hours, sipping coffee and savoring sinfully delectable bakeries and awesome food.

They are doing Ceviches  ( Duck and Salmon ) .I loved the Salmon one . Ceviche is a raw fish cured in citrus juices, such as lime or lemon or orange Othwr Seasonings can also be added like onions, salt, cilantro etc and spiced with chili peppers. The Minest
ŕone soup was done nicely but was a little watery as per my preference. The highlight was the Chicken Liver Pate done beautifully with clarified butter on top . One should not miss this at all. Other was the Spinach Quiche which was too good to be missed.  They have a very nicely done regular menu too which houses some really good dishes from Mediterranean, Italy, France , Greece , UK etc.

The master mixologist Gaurav Rana is a talent warehouse. He blew me away a with his special drink the Monk's Habit....awesome I must say.  White rum..Hazelnut and some more ingredients but very good mix of things. They have a wide variety of drinks on offer both alcoholic as well as non alcoholic.

The other dish was Caprese salad which was done in the most authentic manner with full flavors of tomato, mozzarella, extra Virgin and pepper.  Very fresh and cooling.

Some special desserts on the special menu like a Mango based and one citrus based (.orange). Mango one was the best and should not be missed at all.

Overall, Chef Piyush Jain has worked wonders with his culinary skills as always he does.  The festival is on till 19th July and I would definitely recommend this.
